or wanting to start out as a professional and feel that you would like to better
your photographic skills at the capture stage,
tuition with a respected professional with over 35 years of experience may be your answer.

Enthusiastic amateur:
If you are at a more elementary stage, you may want to get control of your camera
and learn about the relationship between shutter speeds, apertures, ISO, depth of field,
lenses and filters instead of working on automatic and programme modes.
You may want to learn about light, composition and how to ‘see’ a shot.
If so, a One To One and then a small group workshop would suit you.
Getting the shot right in camera is so much better than having to correct bad work on the computer later.
Computer time can then be used to enhance your images before the printing stage.

Semi pro or wanting to start out as a professional:
You may be a more advanced photographer who feels a need to learn more as a hobby
and move forward - maybe even to work as a semi pro or branch out as a professional in a specific field.
There are workshops to cover many areas and in most cases,
the groups are kept small to ensure that you will be given the attention that you need.
They are suitable for both film and digital photography. They even include marketing.

Workshops and One To Ones are based at Daniel Valla’s purpose built premises in Haverfordwest
which consists of a digital lightroom a darkroom and a fully equipped studio space in which to hone your skills.
